This year we thank our Family Honoree Jeff & Katie Terrill and the Terrill Family along with our Corporate Honoree Southern Glazer’s for their commitment to Creating a World Without Type 1 Diabetes (T1D).

The Terrill Family’s Story  

When Truman, a vibrant 5-year-old, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 2022, his family’s world shifted. Suddenly, they found themselves thrust into a new reality of constant vigilance, where every meal, every activity, and every moment required careful consideration of Truman’s blood sugar levels.  

Despite the challenges, they remain hopeful that a cure is possible with the support of JDRF.  

Now, as the Family Honoree at this year’s JDRF Portland Hope Gala, coinciding with Truman’s 2nd Year Diaversary, they are eager to pay it forward. Their goal? To help raise over $750,000, propelling research forward and bringing hope to countless families like theirs.  

With each donation, they move one step closer to Turning Type One into Type None. Join them in their mission to create a world where Truman and all those with T1D can live without the burden of this life threatening disease.
