SENIOR DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
Houston and Woodlands Walk, JDRF Your Way/Third Party Events

Tamara Luera is a native Houstonian, passionate for making change. After graduating from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Tamara has spent the last 10 years in customer service, small school fundraising, and most recently served at March of Dimes. Tamara will be working on OneWalk for Houston and The Woodlands and handling third party events. She loves all things Houston sports and the Astros wining the World Series was a top highlight in her life. She is excited to work with the JDRF Houston team and eager to learn and work for this great mission.

Gala Auction, Challenge/Endurance/Ride Events

Breana Badger is a native Houstonian and an Alum of Houston Baptist University. She graduated with a Degree in Business Marketing and a Minor in Spanish, in which she obtained by studying abroad in Spain. She has always found a way to get involved with the community from holding various positions in Young Life and Alpha Chi Omega Sorority to working in the Non-Profit Fundraising world.

Prior to working at JDRF, she worked at First Community Credit Union. She was able to work first hand on fundraisers for multiple organizations including; The National MS Society, Children’s Miracle Networks, American Heart Association, Local Food Pantries, Blood Drives for the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center, and HFD’s Annual Toy Drive. Breana truly has a heart for Fundraising, Events, and Relationship Building. She prides herself in being able to utilize her creativity to excel in these avenues. She is excited for this new opportunity and cannot wait to see all the ways she is able to help the T1D community.

She currently resides in Houston with her Husband and two dogs, Chubby Checkers and Costello.
