JDRF Annual Meeting Recap

in , , ,

The JDRF Western Wisconsin Chapter held its Annual Meeting on Tuesday, May 24 at the Radisson Hotel Madison. We presented the Volunteer of the Year Award and recognized retiring and new board members.

We were honored to present our 2016 Volunteer of the Year Award to Lori Roden. Lori’s daughter Lili was diagnosed with T1D at age five in 2010. Since then, Lori has been a tremendous JDRF volunteer and supporter in many different ways. Lori has lead our chapter’s top family Walk team in funds raised and number of walkers for the last two years. Team Lili has raised over $57,000! Lori has also served as a Walk Family Team Coach, the Stewardship Lead for our walk committee, and will be our Family Team Chair this year. She is a JDRF Mentor, and founder and coordinator of the monthly Networking Coffees and Happy Hours. Lori has also served on our Gala Committee, as a Gala volunteer, and she will be doing her first Ride to Cure this year. We are also lucky to have her as a new board member! Lori’s dedication and commitment to turning type one into type none is inspiring and motivating to all of us.
