Celebrate National Diabetes Awareness Month!

With November upon us, we are so excited to celebrate National Diabetes Awareness Month (NDAM) with you! During the month of November, people all over the country team up to spread awareness about diabetes. The need for awareness and education on type 1 diabetes (T1D) is more important than ever. Bringing attention to diabetes throughout the month not only helps to bring more understanding to a very misunderstood disease, but it can also help to bring in more funding for essential research and support for important legislative issues facing the T1D community.

This year, JDRF will carry the theme of ā€œForward.ā€ JDRFā€™s Forward campaign will inspire our community and others to share their story, educate those around them, and demonstrate the impact of research on improving lives and eliminating T1D for good. Forward celebrates the progress weā€™ve made, and the progress thatā€™s to come. For those living with T1D and those who love someone with T1D, looking Forward is what fuels our vision and mission to cure, prevent and treat T1D and its complications. Itā€™s a reminder of what and who we are fighting for, and that together, we move #ForwardAs1.

This November, we celebrate you and your unwavering commitment to a world without T1D. Every day, our community rallies to drive research breakthroughs and support efforts to improve the lives of people with T1D and their loved ones. Because thereā€™s only one direction: FORWARD.

Check out this NDAM Calendar for ways to keep the fight against T1D moving Forward, and stay connected on our social media to see stories from our community: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

Important Dates:

  • T1Day is November 1st, an occasion to use our collective voice to reach as many people around the world as we can, to raise awareness about T1D, and celebrate the lives of those who live with T1D and those who love them.
