National Diabetes Awareness Month 2022

Forward celebrates the progress we’ve made, and the progress that’s to come. It also reminds us to think about WHAT and WHO this progress is FOR:

For those living with type 1 diabetes and those who love someone with type 1 diabetes, looking Forward is what fuels our vision and mission to cure, prevent and treat type 1 diabetes and its complications. It’s a reminder of what and who we are fighting for, and that together, we move #ForwardAs1.

Every day, the JDRF community is moving #ForwardAs1 to improve the lives of people living with T1D.

Here’s how you can help us make a difference this November.

Learn and Share About T1D

Spread awareness of the signs and symptoms of T1D, dispel myths and explain the differences between type 1 and type 2.

If you’re sharing on social use the hashtag #ForwardAs1!

Learn About T1D Screening

Being diagnosed with T1D means a lifetime of dependence on insulin and careful management to avoid dangerous blood-sugar highs and lows. Now, families can use screening to begin to determine their T1D risk early, so they have time to plan and prepare.
