In an effort to stay connected as a community, JDRF Mid-Atlantic is excited to offer virtual meet ups and educational events to support our local T1D community. We will offer T1D support and networking programs for newly diagnosed families and individuals, parents of children with T1D, and adults with T1D, as well educational sessions on research, advocacy, virtual fundraising, and more. T1D Virtual Connections Meet Up for Newly Diagnosed
Join your T1D community for a virtual meet up to connect with other newly diagnosed families and get advice and tips from experienced T1D caregivers. This casual meeting, led by JDRF outreach volunteers, will not offer medical advice but will offer laughter, ideas, and connection! Bridging the Gap – T1D Teen Connections Group: 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:00 PM
JDRF Mid-Atlantic is excited to host the “Bridging the Gap” meet-up for teens ages 13-18 with T1D. Led by young adults living with T1D, this informal meet-up is an opportunity for teens to meet and talk openly about the challenges and triumphs of living with T1D. Type 1 Diabetes Peer Support Group
Are you living with T1D or parenting a child with T1D? Join us for an informal conversation to share information and connect with others in the T1D community. Bring questions or topics you would like to discuss. Before the Covid-19 pandemic this group met monthly at Suburban Hospital. We are now meeting virtually via Zoom.
