Off to College: Navigating T1D in College

The Off to College Session is intended to help parents, caregivers and teens by offering practical, tangible advice as they prepare for this next chapter of their lives.  From campus life and communication to dealing with alcohol and talking to friends and roommates about T1D, this session will provide the tools and resources to get ready for college.

Diabetes Burnout: How to cope when you’re “done” with diabetes

Diabetes burnout – when managing T1D becomes so tiresome that it gets ignored – is common.  In fact most people with T1D have experienced this burnout in their lifetime.  This session will address common burnout signs and symptoms and offer advice and support to help manage T1D and get you back on track.

Aging with T1D: Complications, Secondary Autoimmune Diseases and what JDRF is doing to address them.

JDRF is well know for it’s research to better treat, prevent and cure type 1 diabetes. Less well known is what JDRF is doing to help support people who have lived with the disease for decades.   This session will address JDRF research efforts in the area of complications and advancements that are being made to help people live and age better with T1D.
